Ninya was a contributor to a six-part television series filmed in her studio in Nottingham which aired on BBC4 in 2018. A Stitch in Time, presented by fashion historian Amber Butchart, looks at how clothes were made in the past, and what reconstructing them can tell us about the people that wore them. The featured garments range from the 14th to the 18th centuries. It is frequently repeated on UK channels and is available in other countries too. Ninya hosts occasional Open Studio days showcasing a selection of the garments constructed during the television series and reveals behind-the-scenes insights into how they were researched and made.
